What is a Video Memoir?

Imagine a 60-Minutes style interview of your own mother or father. We take footage from a professionally conducted at-home interview and combine it with family photos and videos to create a cinematic legacy for your loved one.

Capturing the memories that matter most

My name is John Lane and I'm the founder of Memory Lane. This project stems from a simple wish of mine: to hear the voice of my grandmother again. She passed away over a decade ago and, as with many people of her generation, there isn’t much footage of her that exists. To think that my future children will never hear her speak or know her spark truly breaks my heart. What I wouldn't give to have quality footage of her sharing her own stories in her own voice.

So that is my mission: to record high quality interviews that capture the stories and essence of those we love before it's too late. I will come to you and conduct a professional interview in the comfort of your own home and help preserve your family’s legacy.

Generational Connectedness

Sharing stories between generations is a powerful way to connect past, present, and future members of your family. It can enrich relationships, preserve heritage, and foster a deep sense of belonging within a family unit.

Memory Lane brings this timeless and important tradition into the digital age and directly connects generations like never before.
